Advance announcement: Supply Chain Days on 24 and 25 June 2009 in Heidelberg
Crisis in the financial markets, globalisation, climate change, ever-scarcer resources, pressure on costs and the need to innovate... just some of the challenges facing the supply chains of today’s industrial companies. Speakers will include David Simchi-Levi, respected professor for SCM at MIT, former Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Lothar Späth and Sigmund Reischl, of Nestlé, on current trends.
At the Supply Chain Days on 24 and 25 June 2009, successful examples from practice and innovative approaches will be presented:This multi-industry, top-level conference on the issue of supply chain management will be taking place for the third time, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. h. c. Lothar Späth in the Villa Bosch conference centre in Heidelberg. Once more, it will be bringing together thought leaders, experts and scientists to discuss current trends and innovations in supply chain management over the course of two days. Speakers will be presenting examples of successfully implemented, sustainable supply chains. The event will also offer an opportunity for personal exchange in respect of the challenges facing industry.
